Join other fashion lovers in the fashion designer’s atelier this March break! Facilitated by the world recognized educator MakeFashion Edu,In this unique Project-Based Learning program, designers will produce a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable tech that is sure to turn heads on the runway! The young designers will work hands-on with LED light bulbs, batteries, and fabrics, and use their new knowledge on software coding and sewing construction to create a ready-to-wear costume that will literally light up the room. Through Empathy-Based Design Thinking, designers will conduct interviews and gather data to build inspiration boards with the wearer in mind. The designers will display their work process in a storyboard and showcase their masterpieces in a runway show like none other, at 307 Sidewalk Lab.
